In the aftermath of the historic storm this weekend, we have been inspired by our community coming together to help one another. The heroism of our first responders and the generosity of our citizens have set Southbury on a path to recovery.
Unfortunately, just as our neighbors began to rebuild their lives, Ed Edelson decided it was a good time to send a nasty text message trolling for votes.
It is inconceivable that Mr. Edelson would approve a message aimed at dividing our community when our unity and collective resolve are what will see us through this moment. His campaign stunt was callous, out of touch, and lacking in compassion. It was the exact opposite of what real leadership looks like.
True character is often revealed in the face of tragedy. If this is the best Ed Edelson can offer citizens of the 69th District, maybe it's time his campaign retirED and let serious people lead.
